The autonomous economy is arriving. Eico is building the frameworks to measure it, and to make sure humans retain a stake. That means infrastructure where AI systems find demand, acquire customers, deliver, and turn funding into revenue, with every step verified.
Founding AI Engineer
You will build the datasets used to train proprietary models that can launch and manage companies successfully, own Eico’s public research to build early traction, and advise the team on the agent backends inside the product. You’ll be a public technical face of Eico through writing, Twitter, podcasts, and AI conferences, and a sounding board giving our incubation teams strong AI expertise.
What you’ll own:
- 01Public-facing research: the blog, publications, and the ideas Eico is known for.
- 02Datasets built from real company-building traces.
- 03Training, fine-tuning, and adapting Eico models in house.
- 04Agent backends and harnesses for the product.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience. Masters required, PhD preferred.
- AI-lab pedigree: OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepMind, FAIR / Meta GenAI, Thinking Machines, SSI, Reflection, Tesla AI, xAI, Mistral, Cohere, Character, Adept, Cursor, Cognition, Harvey, Ramp AI, Glean AI, Perplexity, Replit AI, Databricks / Mosaic, Together, Hugging Face, Physical Intelligence, or equivalent.
- Has personally trained, fine-tuned, and materially improved AI models.
- Has built agent systems, model infra, evals, data pipelines, RAG, tool-use systems, or inference routing.
- Strong engineer: can ship production systems, not just notebooks or papers.
- Strong researcher: reads deeply, has taste, forms opinions, runs experiments.
- Grinder: a high-agency operator.
- Comfortable operating as a public technical face.
